Jennifer has more than 15 years of experience in media and communications throughout the U.S. She joined TLC PR in 2009, and has since worked with clients spanning technology; travel, destinations and hospitality; health care and wellness; finance; meetings and conventions; nonprofit services; private and government sustainability programs; law; real estate and property management; agriculture; aviation; software development; and renewable energy.
As the firm’s principal writer, Jennifer focuses on creating and enhancing communications materials through strategic writing and editing, in addition to working closely with news media to secure client coverage. She also manages digital media projects, and won several Public Relations Society of America Hawaii awards for event promotion, brand management and multimedia materials.
Jennifer previously worked as a business reporter at various news outlets, including Bloomberg News in New York, and as an assistant business editor at the former Honolulu Star-Bulletin newspaper, where she earned a Hawaii Publishers Association Pa‘i Award for enterprise reporting.
She earned her master’s degree with a focus on business reporting from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon.
